The Author

Hello there. I would like to take this time to thank you for picking up my little book. I’m Daniel, a small town country boy from Burlington, Vermont. Growing up in the country was peaceful and quiet. Sampling the maple syrup in the buckets, watching gorgeous fall leaves change slowly, making maple sugar candies, watching baby deer visit the small ponds out in the woods; it was all very picturesque without many people around. I had a perfect childhood, until dad decided he did not want the country life anymore. Then our peaceful lives became, well …less peaceful when we moved. This book represents between twenty-five and thirty years of my life long inspiration in the waiting. Each and every tiny thought and idea was developed from my heart felt desires to live in a fantasy world when life either got tough or I found myself looking out a window when it rained and I couldn’t go fishing. Therefore, I would just sit and write in an ‘old-school’ composition notebook like the one we did in the 5th grade growing up. Before I decided to have this published, I had collected about thirty of them over the years. So, if you find yourself looking out the window on a day when you would rather be out playing and need something entertaining to read. Pick this book up; we will be laying here waiting for your imagination to join my little story.

This is a fantasy novel and the environments are imaginary. This story, describes ordinary people with extraordinary faith. You know those people with fearlessness when times get tough, when love conquers all. Most of these scenarios developed from my mom, dad and grandpas adventures as well as my amazing friends throughout life. I was in my 50th year when I finished this. I had to put it on hold between 40 and 48 due to mom’s health going downhill quickly. We lived in sunny Florida for about 32 years, and then my stepdad decided to move back to Ohio, where he was originally from. Mom had a heart condition, and even thou she had awesome medical care in Ohio, the book had to wait. Most of the “story arena” is imaginary, many of the scenarios developed from real life events thou, which occurred over the 50 previous years in my travels around the country. Mom did help me roll play these scenarios, I just elaborated or exaggerated …a little. (Maybe embellished would be a better term).

In my late twenties, I had the honor of working for the International Fine Arts Expositions, which was a huge art show company, or I should say an event. We did everything, and I mean everything. We printed catalogues and t-shirts, made signage and built multi-million dollar art shows worldwide. It was extremely amazing and tremendously exhausting. I was not home for weeks at a time. So, it is from this point of view I’m writing from and hoping to share with tact. I’ve done my best to convey an environment of the back-stage occurrences I’ve experienced, that only happen between amazing people, when times get tough and they get busy. Needless to say, that time in my life was not at all boring. We moved mountains. Moreover, all of the extraordinarily talented people I have met were …well …Legendary!
