The Author

Saibal Guha was born in a bustling industrial city near Kolkata, India, to a family who endured the pains of partition in 1947. Having been heavily influenced by his catholic education and attraction to fiction as a child, Saibal always yearned to write a book that brought together his childhood experiences and later life challenges. He showed great interest in the paranormal and spiritual mysticism triggered by a traumatic experience Saibal encountered in his childhood.

Saibal trained to become a Psychiatrist to better understand the functioning of the mind. He worked as a Doctor in the Indian Navy before shifting to Australia. He is involved in a busy private practice, supported by his wife. He enjoys his work in the psychological arena, with enduring emphasis on expanding his understanding of holistic and humanistic medicine.

This is Saibals’ first attempt to bring together his life experiences and understanding of the mind by depicting his characters in this fiction as real-life identities, each with their unique narratives. The line between fantasy and reality has been intentionally blurred in this fiction to provide readers with a unique perspective of Saibals’ life experiences and challenges across living on two continents.
