The Author

GW Black is now considered her mother’s favourite daughter since publishing her short stories in Short Stories Told by Hungry Women; she blends horror and fantasy into retellings of classic female stories from around the world. She loves asking hard questions, like how superglue does not stick inside the tube and why they cancel Freaks and Geeks? She loves reading, writing, and going to climate change, BLM, LGBTQIA+ and women’s rights protests. Although once a spider enters the house, all her feminist views are suddenly gone.

She lives with her therapist and writing partner, a cat named Fred Worthington III, in Sydney where she enjoys cups of tea and banana bread in the morning. She started writing in the early mornings in High-School and has continued ever since. GW just about finished her degree at Western Sydney University and hopes to travel where she will marry for money and become the next Norma Desmond minus the dead monkey.
