Amrinder Bajaj is a practicing gynecologist, an MD (Obstetrics & Gynecology) from the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and a Gold Medalist. At present she is the head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in a corporate hospital in Delhi. She regularly writes columns, articles, travelogues, and short stories for magazines and newspapers, has contributed chapters to medical textbooks and written a text book for nurses.

Says Amrinder Bajaj – ‘For the Love of a Man’ is a fictionalized account of my life. It lays bare taboo subjects like female sexuality, exposing what right-thinking people would carry to their graves with sealed lips. It raises questions for which females all over the world seek answers.

‘WHEN A MIGHTY TREE FALLS’ follows the story of the 1984 riots and the effect it has on an obscure Sikh couple, Lajo and Kujlit. Kuljit is brutally murdered by the mob and a Lajo, pregnant with her Hindu landlord’s son, picks up the pieces of her life in Vidhwa Colony, a ghetto for the 1984 riot Sikh widows. In this environment of anger and hate, her son grows up with a warped sense of right and wrong.
