Peter and his family move from the city to a small country town call Johnsonville.

Peter has to start a new school, which has him, very anxious, but he meets a group of children, who call themselves “The Merlins.”

The Merlins teach him about living in the bush and when he receives a new bicycle for his birthday he is able to join in.

He meets and deals with the school bully with the Merlins help.

As a group, they help the Police to catch a group of thieves and solve an old mystery, which has had the town baffled for years.

He learns the true value of friendship.
